The lonely one is Chocolate Pied, & he/she now has company.

Thanks @Zoe7 It's their friendly nature that is so lovely.

Bengalese are a domesticated species (probably hybrid) that does not exist in the wild.

They were bred by the Chinese hundreds of years ago (possibly 1000).

Another name for them is "Society Finches" - that's because they are highly social, & love lots of other finch company.

They all crowd into a nest at night (to go to sleep) - so there can be 10 Bengalese all huddled into one nest.

Like a big group hug....

Other finches don't do that - they split off into pairs.
