Re: My Mosaic

I have thanks @Eve7  but still on a medical ward though and I’ve heard many a nurse rudely say that ‘she just needs to go to psych’. While yes I do need to go to psych, I think I’m first being seen by a dietitian and gastro team as it’s been nearly a week since I’ve eaten.

i had a phone call with my case manager. I cried.
i had a visit from one of my peer support workers. Had another cry.

i may attempt to call my psychologist tomorrow. I’m scared though.

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry to hear what you are going through @Bow

I hope you can get the support you need and deserve.

Sending lots of love your way 💜💜

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Eve7 @Captain24 @Snowie @NatureLover

@Eve7 there is a specialist ED place here in Sydney, but the wait is long and they priorities those…. Underweight and that I am not. My case manager did say that she would advocate for me to have an admission there though. Time will tell.

Re: My Mosaic

Well I think I managed a little more sleep last night. But still so tired. My eyes are all red and sore. Cat napping kind of day today again maybe.

late yesterday, the lady that came to see me last time I was in here in regards to my swallow/voice, came by. I cough a bit when I drink, so have been put on thickened drinks. Certainly goes down a little easier. Just ongoing damage from being intubated so many times. Hopefully as I heal it will get easier. She is lovely though. I explained about my ED to her last time (not sure I even shared any of this come to think of it now). She was really compassionate, thanked me for being honest with her given how hard that stuff is to share. Last night she ran around the ward and even found me some sugar free drinks cause I’m struggling to get anything down, including fluids with my ED at the moment, so these are an option.

i should see the dietitian today… hopefully early, and then some kind of plan developed. I’m scared of being NG tubed. Terrified actually. But maybe it’s what is needed at the moment to get things moving cause I’m really not feeling good physically at the moment.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow ...I'm glad some people are working on your supprt. What's an NG tube? (No need to explain if it's distressing)

Re: My Mosaic

Nasal gastric tube @NatureLover …. A feeding tube. They aren’t pleasant. I’ve had one before…. For 3 weeks last year.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh gosh, @Bow  😞

Good luck with the dietician this morning... 🤞💜
