All people have similarities and differences .. its so sad that modern life has fragmented socially ... leading to so much loneliness ....

Yes modern life (society) does seem increasingly isolated, or alienating.

Even the Venus/Mars thing ... can go in different directions ... eg I loved old SF Martian Chronicles ... and fantasize when digging my red clay ... that I am on an interplanetry adventure lol... nothing "martial" ... ooooh its all so complicated

I was a keen Sci-Fi buff when younger, but I've not read the Martian Chronicles.

Isaac Asimov was my favourite - esp the Foundation series, & his many other books (& short stories).

The End of Eternity is a lovely Sci-Fi Romance story.

Coots & Swans, lovely - I love those Eurasian Coots (Black with white beaks).

I once saw baby Coots, they were so tiny (much smaller than Ducklings) - swimming with their Mummy & Daddy Coot...

I have just booked a Dr's appointment - to get my necessary prostate tests done.

My psych will be happy now - she gave me a very stern "Not amused" look, when I told her that I have been putting it off...

My Dad died of that cancer - so I'm considered higher risk, & need regular tests.

Hello and thank you @Shaz51 .

I had a tough day, after a tough night, and previous groundhog day before that.

It's funny; when I try and think what to write, I struggle to find a moment in time to begin.  Everything just seems to blur into one, and time feels like it is going so slowly when I think "oh, that thing happened two weeks ago", but so fast when I thinnk about all the stuff and things that filling my time and brain space.

Go figure.
