Hope you managed a sleep this afternoon @Former-Member and got the things done you needed to in town
@Sans911 Didn't sleep well with my blocked nose not helping me breath properly, Woke with a headache still and feeling sh*te. Made it to work but got sent home and have tomorrow off to try to get over this cold. Hope you got a bit more of your assignment done today Hon
@Faith-and-Hope Home early today - as I just mentioned I got sent home. We agreed to give me until lunchtime so I could get the tiles done with the kids. If we didn't get them done today then they would never dry by Friday. Only about 4 or 5 of them you can actually see the shape of their hand - the rest let's just say they are abstract pieces of art 
The kids had fun which was the main thing and they all worked together to clean up the mess. There are still little rocks on the floor everywhere but most have been picked up - the rest can be vacuumed. I would normally do that before the cleaner comes in but couldn't today - not well enough. They have already organised cover for tomorrow so another day off for me. It does mean less time to do the birdhouses but I will have to make it work. Can't cut anymore today - massive headache that meds don't seem to be budging - hoping sleep will help this afternoon. Very much hoping you are having a better day than me Hon
Hi Hon. Been sleeping on and off all afternoon. Pain meds have finally helped with my headache but still coughing and achy. I have absolutely no energy and just feel generally sh*te. I have tomorrow off though so hoping that helps get past this cold a bit more. I am absolutely useless being at work so I don't have any choice. The kids did the tiles (think I said that already 
) They didn't work out as I had hoped but the had fun doing them and that is the most important thing. I negotiated leaving at lunch time to get them done so that was a relief. No birdhouses started of course so it is going to be a struggle to get them all done in the time remaining, Somehow we will do it even if I have to go in on the Thursdays to work with the kids - that could actually be a really good thing as I could work with a small group and not have to worry about the rest of the class. I might discuss that with the Thursday teacher and see if she will let me do that. 👍
The kids were really gorgeous today - they were super noisy but they organised themselves into groups and had a manager for each group. Then they worked together in areas the manager directed them to to get everything cleaned up. I just stood back and watched it all unfold - it was one of those moments where you smile and appreciate just how lovely kids can be in not only including everyone but making sure they are all sharing the work. My boy took over the running of the class and put up the names of everyone that were doing a great job - he ended up putting up every single kids' name - so they all got a prize from the prize box. It was so awesome to see 😁
As I was leaving my trauma girl came running up and hugged me. One of the kids outside asked 'what was that for' and she said it was because I was sick - so sweet - especially from her. She doesn't like anyone touching her so it shows just how much she trusts me ...and that is gold 😍
So with all that said - I probably should not have gone today but I knew we had half our staff out at PD or sick themselves and so many relief teachers in - but those moments from today would not have happened if I had not gone so a lot of joy in my day despite how sick I feel.
