Re: not feeling good
Hi again @Shaz51
I have clothes airers - I had this quaint idea that drying my shirts in the breeze would be a good idea and yes - they are dry already but ouch!
Yes - Mr Shaz' frozen shoulder would be painful and he will have less movement than usual -
I don't have that - I have lost all the articular cartilage in my shoulder and it's full of synovial fluid - and the tendons are shot - and I have an osteophyte worth having - perhaps all the exercises I did to avoid a frozen shoulder caused wear and tear in the shoulder - sometimes we just wear out when we get older
Sometimes I feel like crying but what would that help?

Re: not feeling good
Hi @Owlunar
yes, now that I've had a day to rethink - i can only do what i can only do. I can't do anymore. In fact if i do more, i will hurt my wrist more. The surgeon is a really nice caring funny guy. great sense of humour. He was reassuring me that everything will be alright. He filled out a med certificate for Centrelink so i will try to get some sort of payment, if i can.
reg. work - not sure what i am goingn to do. I know that i don't want to go back to the bakery and i know that their is no 'light duties' there. as for the shop cleaning baskets, i could do that slowly. i just don't want to go back and injure myself more.
so i have applied for 3 admin jobs in the past week. Not sure how I'll go but at least i have applied. I was talking to someone yesterday and she made me realise that working in pharmacy all these years for a one person owner was like family. it was small and we all knew each other. Whereas now in the supermarket i am just a number, a person. not part of 'a family'. its so different.
anyway, i can only do so much. I am trying really hard not to worry about finances but every so often the negative thoughts pop in.
@Shaz51 I'm sorry you're in pain and now have to slow down. i do get it and i understand it must be frustrating for you. You have a lot on your plate with looking after your mum and hubby. pls take care sis.

Re: not feeling good
You sound a lot better today @BlueBay - and you are right - you can only do what will help your wrist recover - which is true for all of us
The bakery does sound unsuitable for you and admin is better - enhance your CV with your positives - your experience and how you work well with people - you can do it
It's been a tough year for everyone and I think we are all fed up and confused to some degree - we will get past this - you'll be okay

Re: not feeling good
Morning everyone 🙂
@Owlunar @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope @Maggie @Flying_Hams @Angels333 and others reading
It's PJ day today 🙂
I am staying home as it's raining, cold and only 9 deg. I was awake at 4.30am, 5.15am and up at 6am because some little one decided it was time to get up. i said to her to go to her mum but her reply was 'no mumma is sleeping'!!! What about me??
did two loads of washing and cleaned the kitchen, i decided to go back to bed and lay down. i ended up falling asleep for over an hour. it was so nice. time for another coffee and maybe i will have a relaxing bath soon.
hope you are all doing ok as best you can. @Owlunar @Shaz51 thinking of you both and hope you are both ok. and in not so much pain.

Re: not feeling good
hi @Shaz51 @Owlunar @Maggie @Faith-and-Hope @Flying_Hams and others reading: -
my wrist is quite sore at the moment, i am thinking of wrapping it up again so it is covered more than just a bandaid. i don't know why the wrist is throbbing.
i am feeling really depressed because i am looking for work and theres not much. i don't know what i am going to do. i don't want to go back to bakery as it's heavy. my doctor keeps saying you should be able to work in the bakery but he doesnt understand the heavy frozen bread i have to lift. i have told him many times.
and as for cleaning trolleys and baskets, i could possibly do that but have to be caredful. oh i don't know. i am so confused. as well as looking for jobs i am still looking around for a new home in a completely different area. they are very expensive where we are so we will have to move out of this area. which i will hate because it's been my life since i was 12.
but reality is - if we move to another area we would be able to pay our mortgage off and have money left over.
so much stress, part of me doesn't want to think about it, but i think we need to do something in the next year or so.
not doing much today, staying inside. maybe i will have a nap. i am feeling very flat, not caring about much really.
i don't know, if only i knew what i want

Re: not feeling good
I know what you mean re work - but I do think that maybe upskilling could be something you could look into maybe? I'm not sure what your specifics are about though my awesome friend.
I also saw an ad the other day for COVID19 related cleaners and testers. The requirements were very basic and maybe this is something you could look into in your state? I'm unsure where you are though and if you want to keep that from the forum that's okay too.
Yesterday i was talking to a friend from VietNam and I was telling him that many internationals are having to uproot their livelihoods. Many changing jobs, changing their place of residence. It's hard thing for one of my other friends as she has had a relationship breakdown and this guy is behaving in a bad way.
It's hard for many isn't it?
Keep posting and sharing though my friend. that's why the forums are here after all.
Could you maybe also look at painkiller for the wrist? Or see a specialist?

Re: not feeling good
Hey @Flying_Hams
I've got a doctors appt on Tuesday. So I will tell him. The specialist I saw on Wednesday said if my wrist still hurts in two weeks time when he's back from leave, he'll send me for a scan. I'm taking paracetamol.
I feel I couldn't study snymore. I do love admin work which I've done previously. I need to keep looking.
I don't live in a big city. I live in an area where we get lots of tourists.
Did you have a good time at the party last night?
