Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Maggie @outlander @utopia @BPDSurvivor @BlueBay

BPDSurvivor - you comment makes me realise that you know something about Chronic Pain Syndrome too - and like many people here Christmas will be a rough season for you

Rest assured you are not alone - we support each other here and you are one of us this year - also - I find Christmas a time when the events of the past year raise their heads and you have had a triggering year

I wish you the best possible though - with Christmas and the pain

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @outlander @Maggie @utopia @BPDSurvivor @BlueBay @Shaz51 @Gazza75

@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @Zoe7

I finally finished the form for the new pain specialist. It took me days - I had to think about some of the answers - maybe that was the hard part - and I added several extra sheets of notes - I was asked to be concise and I think it is - but also thorough - I am glad that's done - copied and mailed.  I can't help wondering who designes these forms - truly!

It's a pretty warm day in Melbourne - the warm weather has arrived - I went to Queensland twice in the last few weeks - the heat was glorious - now I have it at home. Wonderful. I watered my back courtyard earlier and pulled a few weeds and swept the results of my occasional weeding into a pile to deal with later. It's so great to wear shorts again and feel so free outside -.

I hope everyone is as well as possible atm - life does go on. Christmas is two months away - how fast this year has gone

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar  I smiled when I read your comment.....who designs these forms....truly. I have often wondered that myself. Someone from another planet perhaps .?

I hope you get suitable pain relief in the near future, but by the sound of the warm weather you are having, something is going your way. 👍👍

Today is a warm one in tassie, and I’ve watered my pansies and strawberry  plants. I must admit, feeling some warmth on my old bones feels good today. Doors and window open, washing dried, other things aired.

Yes, not long til Christmas now. 🎄🎄🎄Decoration are already on sale in some/ many stores. Ho Ho.

Life does go on @Owlunar 💜💜💜

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay @Shaz51 @Maggie @outlander @Gazza75

It's Monday again - and next week I am seeing the new psychologist. It's weeks since I made the appointment and I have heard that this woman is very popular - I hope really hoping she can write a report to the pain specialist that my psychological state is stable - that the past is not making my pain worse. I am sure this is the case and that I doubt anyone would imagine this isn't the case. I know I am as sane as I imagine - we are all a little bit different at times - thank God for that

And I have a long wait to see the pain specialist - it's good that I will be seeing the psychologist a few times before that

Over the weekend the weather here has been bad - a sudden change on Friday to start with really aggravated my back pain - it really has been worse lately - I was peaceful enough over the weekend and I spent a long time going through my thread here to read what has been happening in my life over the last few years - it brought back memories I had forgotten - I deal with things fairly well though I do get anxious at times. Going to the pain clinic is always a great time for stress.

I have two interesting "Decadian-type" anniversaries coming up in the next few weeks. My son would have been turning 50 in 5 weeks and right after that will be the 30th anniversary of my separation and my life as a single person - which is a cause for celebration

It's interesting that these to decade-things happen so close together - I never noticed it before. This website is a great archive for our memories. Reading back is time consuming but worth the effort. I recommend it

And I am glad the weather in Melbourne is sunny today -

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar  I hope the popularity of this new psych proves her value. No doubt in my mind about your sanity @Owlunar, and I’ve always really liked different. 🤪🤪🙃🙃

There seem to be long waiting lists all over the country to see specialists, a very sad reality. I found out last week, after waiting 12 mths, that I can see a RA specialist next month. I’m pleased, as I thought it might take 3 yrs.

Two very big anniversaries coming up for you @Owlunar . Your sons 50th will be a sad one, thoughts of what might have been. Anniversaries can be challenging times, for many different reasons. I will celebrate your separation with you, and the courage it took to go through it. 🥂🥂🥂🎉🎉🎊🎊

We have had a dramatic weather change here in tassie also. Not quite back to winter, but not far out either.

Take care as much as you can with pain. Sending warm thoughts, even if the weather is chilly. ☀️☀️☀️🌷🌷💜💕💜
