not sure if you want to read through this thread, but I was over the moon when I looked up "lenitian".  I have long been interested in language and noted Grimms Law and various vowel and consonant shifts.  I sing in classical languages ... mainly Italian, German, Dutch and Latin, and have a sense of language spectrums much more than the average Jill or Joe.

You made me feel more normal ... lol ... and less nerdy ...

Hi @Appleblossom  and @Wanderer  I'm following here and saw your mention of Lenition (sp?)  I'm very into new/old words too and would love to know what it means.  I didn't see the post putting it in context here and am very curious.

Hope all here are well enough today and that it goes according to plan.
