need some advice

hi there

was wondering whats the best way to find friends close to your age (some close to where you live and some in adelaide) and how to maintain the friendships and where you could go with friends or how you could have them over if theres not alot of room where you currently live?

also whats the best way to find a girl to do the usual girlfriend things with without having to share money and stuff or have kids or live together 24/7?

reason for asking is looking to make a few more friends similar age to me (33) to supplement the friends that have moved away or are busier now even though youre still friends.

just want friends to reguarly catch up with and sometimes stay over and and just have no one and was wondering how to go about it fast.

usually work on the weekend and public holiday when most people that age are out and about and was wondering how you would get around it and what could be done thatll allow you to hang on for atleast another 5 years when things there start changing.

you see other people with a never ending supply of friends to catch up with and sometimes stay and youre just having no end of trouble and just want things to change fast.

also when you live at a small property how would you go about doing video calls and meetings and have some privacy when you dont have anything of your own yet, how much data per hour would you need for video calls.

how would you get to know people and catch up when you always work when people that age are out.

this coronavirus hasent helped one bit.

in 2015 used to go to see cousins and spend a weekend, that was 5 years ago and since 2016 havent been able to go up unless someone took me even though driving yourself was never a problem, as car needed alot of work and mean alot. and other things got in way and they all started having kids at once.

in middle of 2018 got a bit younger car to drive everyday and parked the other one and fixing it up and its only since then that you can start thinking of driving yourself up again and now its harder to catch up due to kids even though its not impossible, for the cars usually most people if they want to keep a car past a point or have a old one they will either take it off road and fix everything broken and buy a decent bomb to run around in till theirs is fixed then maybe sell it once the original ones fixed or they will have a back up daily or theyll stop driving it everyday buy a newer one for that, then do old one up.

also how do you meet girls and where do you go and how do you start talking to them when you work most weekends when most usually have it and holidays off and only work standard week days. looking for intimicy and to be able to do the other girlfriend things but don't want kids or to share money and stuff (whatever couples usually share) there is a difference between occasionally sharing stuff and the things couples usually share, or to live together 24/7.

and some of us are happy single and just keeping eyes open and waiting for right girl that wants same things.

what else can be done

thanks

Re: need some advice

Hi @daisy20202-7 👋It sounds like a hard struggle that I can certainly relate to in terms of finding people who might become friends. I've moved the discussion to make it more likely that other members who may have insights to share will see it.
