More Good News

So I had my review with my pain specialist/surgeon this morning. He has confirmed the diagnosis of Lumbar Facet Joint Dysfunction, along with the original Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction, I am like one of 10% of sufferers that have 2 sources of pain like this.

I am currently in the least amount of pain I have been in in over 20 years, I have pain in my shoulder and neck and I have this weird migrane like thing which he thinks is from how they had me positioned for the procedure. My back is sore but thats from the actual procedure there is also an element of muscles relaxing and resettling in my back. The changes in my back are pretty wild.

Its expected that the injections from Friday's procedure will last another 10 days more or less. Once the pain returns then I will contact his office and they will set up a date for me to have an RF Ablation which will give me long term relief but will have to be repeated when the nerves regrow.

I didnt expect anything more than this, like I didnt expect him to say this is the problem I have a permanent solution. It could have been worse, he could have found the problem but not be able to do anything orhe might not have found the problem at all and given up.

No he found the problem, gave me a solution, sure I have to repeat it, but if I can be pain free and not be on opioids etc, but it costs me a few days having and recovering from a procedure that sounds like a fair trade.

Side note, I did a fair bit of walking today, fair bit by my standards at least. My back pain wise stayed about the same but man my legs, they still ache.Im gonna have to do some physio or something to help them regain some muscle mass after decades of minimal use, I suppose it was bound to be the case
