It has sort of crept up on me since I have stopped working and now I find that I can while away hours and hours in bed during the day without effort. I have recently decided to try and change this and started with the goal of being up by ten. I set an alarm and turned it off - the pull to doze off into my depression again wins out. Sometimes when I do get up, I am stuck for things to do and the day seems very long. If I don't have any commitments it's not unusual for me to stay in bed all day until dinner time.
This has become a habit I need to break. Appreciate any tips that others might have.

@BronH I have just recently been through this when the weather was particularly bleak, cold and wet. I could sleep away the whole day if I wanted to. I don't know what the answer is except when the sunshine comes out get out and go for a walk. Slap on some sun screen and a hat and walk is what I do. I get to say hi to all the people and their puppies as they take them for a walk. It is really nice and perks me up...... I hope this helps you.

Sometimes getting out of bed is the biggest victory of the day @BronH. We're not sure if you have seen the apps such as Pokemon Go or Wizards Unite (Harry Potter themed), but they are helpful to inspire you to get up and get moving to try to collect items along your walk. Do you think something like this would help?

Happy to share @BronH, they make walking quite entertaining at times
